Arak Zehlawi
Lebanon, more precisely Kefraya - a historic trading place on the Silk Road in the eastern Mediterranean, which for centuries served as a bridge between East and West. This is where Arak Zehlawi was born, who comes from wild fig trees that grow on the slopes overlooking the sea.
This grape alcohol-based spirit has an aroma of spicy apple with notes of tobacco leaves, tangerine peel, ginger roots and honey. Relaxed yet complex aromas follow, peppery oak chips mixed with tangy fruitiness clear the way for a pleasant finish, with notes of cedarwood and lemongrass lingering on the palate.
