Buyulübag Ökuzgözü, Bogazkere
This wine is an excellent blend of Öküzgözü, which provides the fruity character of this wine and produces a nice acidity, and Bogazkere, which contributes the soft and round tannins. A strong and balanced wine with notes of black cherries, chocolate, raspberries and red forest fruits on the palate. The wine is matured in stainless steel tanks.
The Büyülübag Adakarasi and Cabernet Sauvignon is a special blend of the fruity, indigenous grape variety Adakarası and the elegant and full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. In the nose aromas of blackberries and cherries, and in the taste full of red forest fruits. A medium acidity, well balanced round off the wine. We recommend it with hearty cheese, pasta with tomato sauce and roasted red meat.
The Büyülübag winery is located on the island of Avşa in the Marmara Sea. Büyülubag was founded in 2004 by Alp Törüner. This winemaker has dedicated himself to saving the unique Adakarasi grape variety, which is an indigenous grape variety of this island. The vineyards are grown according to the old winemaking traditions of the area, but with modern technology.
The winery has a gravity flow system in which the grapes enter the lower fermentation tanks from above by their own gravity. This method is particularly gentle and preserves so many unadulterated aromatic components of the grapes.
