Its aromas achieve their incomparable complexity and distinctive color through the aging in the oak barrels. The circulation is limited to 10000 bottles each year. Technically speaking, raki is a clear brandy, comparable to the Italian pomace brandy grappa. In the first round, the pomace from the winemaking was traditionally fermented, then distilled and then mixed with anise and distilled at least once more.
