Kulüp Raki 0,7l
The Kulüp Raki is an absolute classic of the Turkish Raki culture, also called the Gentlemen's Raki. This raki was introduced by Tekel, the state alcohol monopoly in 1932, is today the oldest raki sold in Turkey and is still based on the original recipe from the XNUMXs.
So it comes from the time of the Turkish Republic, when its founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was still alive. It was long suspected that the people depicted showed Atatürk and his right hand, which was caused by the similarity of the depiction. In fact, the designer of the label, the well-known graphic artist Ihap Hulusi Görey, has immortalized himself here.
This tradition is also easy to read on the label. With 50% alcohol, the Kulüp Raki has a slightly higher alcohol content than most rakis, which have 45%. The anise content of this raki is also a little higher and gives this raki a distinctive character.
